Hi guys! Here are the basics:

GPA: 4.4W/3.99UW
ACT: 35
SAT: 2340
Math 2 SAT: 800
Chem SAT: 710
I’ve taken all IB courses and have basically the hardest course load at my school. Only one A- so far… Don’t have predicted scores yet but am fully expecting a diploma (5 HLs 2 SLs)

ECs:
President of MUN at my school and Eboard member for 3 years (many MANY awards) Crisis Director of Local conference and Secretary General of a conference I put together

Founder of Social Justice club at my school

Went to Brown Summer program and studied Behavioral Game Theory

Paid internship at a start up which focused on political marketing

Internship with a cardiologist for a research project on public health and patient centered care

Winner of MPowered Entrepreneur competition and won seed funding for my idea

DECA state qualifier

HOSA Nationals qualifier (public health event!)

Volunteer hours of over 150

No hooks, high income bracket, but I’ll have awesome rec letters and my essays were pretty good I think.

Do I have any chance?? My interview went really well too!

I’d say you have a chance. That’s the best most applicants can ask at a school with as low an acceptance rate as Wharton’s.

Everyone else is going to comment on your great scores and grades so I will comment on ECs. I am interested in how you connected interning with a cardiologist to ED Wharton? MUN is a good EC to have leadership for since it is a nationwide organization. However being a DECA state qualifier will not carry much weight since there are tens of thousands throughout the country. Placing in state is worth a lot more than qualifying.
