What are the chances?
Thanks for reading, even if you don't respond!

What do you call a person who likes to hang around with musicians?

A drummer.

BAH DUM BUMP!

Did you really apply to every single Ivy league school?

Elitism overload.

I don’t see Dartmouth…^

Honestly, I visited Dartmouth, and I was not overly impressed with the tuition/quality of education. But yes, I am applying to most of the Ivies, because they are all wonderful in at least one of the following: finances, business, science, and engineering

Furthermore, I don’t really expect to get into any of the Ivies, I am just applying to most of them to test my luck. After all, the admission game is like winning a lottery. The more you purchase, the better your chances.

Wharton (ED): Low Reach
MIT, Caltech, Stanford: Reach, Reach, Reach
Harvard, Yale, Princeton: Reach, Reach, Reach
Columbia, Cornell, Brown: Reach, High Match/Low Reach, Low Reach
UC Berkeley, UC Los Angeles, UCSD, UCD: High Match, Match, Low Match, Low Match
Uchicago, Johns Hopkins, NYU: Reach, Low Reach, Match

^And to the above, I was very impressed by Dartmouth; Brown was the one that I felt was significantly worse than the others.

^to each his own. I never visited a single college I applied to and was perfectly happy

anyways, I think you have a solid chance at Wharton. They fill a good chunk of their class with ED applicants

I want your ECs.

I just read your ECs more closely. What I would definitely recommend is applying for the M&T program (dual degree wharton/engineering) at penn, and choose that if you don’t get into that program, you’d want to be considered for SEAS (the engineering school).

If you get into M&T, that’s incredible. It’s probably the best academic program at any of the Ivies. If you end up just getting into SEAS (which I think you’d have a much better chance of doing than Wharton), you can always choose to do an internal transfer to Wharton, or re-apply for a transfer into the M&T program–you’d do both after you freshmen year at Penn.

PM me if you have any questions
