Wharton ED-Worth it?

Well, after lurking on this site for months, I've finally decided to sign up. Wharton is my top choice, but I'm almost certain that it's a very very high reach for me. But, since I don't have any other school that I want to go to, I thought I might as well do ED, but I wonder if it really is worth the money and time to apply with my resume. So, I would greatly appreciate it if someone could chance me. Thanks very much in advance!

OK ■■■■■, you had your fun. Now walk on home.

The op is not a ■■■■■… your acadmics is on par with other Wharton applicants but like you said there’s nothing in your ecs that makes you stand out. But you never know so if Wharton really is your first choice then apply!

Yeah I would apply ED given you don’t have the most spectacular ECs. Good academics though

Dont apply ED, wharton’s website specifically states that they are looking for leaders, you have very little leadership though.

for an asian male without citizenship, it’s a pretty high reach.

with some spectacular essays, you can be in. Wharton is a reach for everyone so you’re right where you want to be.

no, not really

What does citizenship have to do with this? He is a permanent resident.

It’s because you don’t have that much leadership that you should apply early…to improve your chances. If you don’t apply ED, I highly doubt you can get in

Unless the OP can snag a couple of leadership positions between now and Jan 1. Armed with some concrete leadership experience, the OP will be a much more attractive candidate. I suggest waiting until RD.

Thank you to everyone who replied! It really helps to get opinions on my resume.

@IRJunkie: What kind of Leadership experience would you say would help? It’s not as if I can become team captain or get elected to student council in a matter of a few months. However, I am founding a economics team in the school for a certain competition. Would that count?

^^^it sure would!!!

No that wouldnt help because they will assume that you started the economics team just for your resume, and it won’t bode well for you.
