Wharton ED?

Can somebody please chance me for Wharton ED?

Objective:
SAT I (breakdown): 2300 Superscore & Highest Single Score (800 CR + 790 W + 710 M), also got a 2140 (730 CR + 730 W + 680 M)
SAT Subject Tests: Biology-M (730), US History (780), Math II (800), taking Chem in October
ACT (breakdown): 34 Composite (34 English, 35 Math, 33 Reading, 35 Science)
SAT II:N/A
Unweighted: 94.8/100. For what it’s worth, my averages sophomore & junior year have been 96, 96.5, 96.6, and 98–it’s freshman year that caused me to have such a low transcript average.
Rank (percentile if rank is unavailable): N/A (School doesn’t rank)
AP (place score in parenthesis): World (5), Chemistry (5), US History (4), English Language (5)
IB (place score in parenthesis): N/A
Senior Year Course Load: AP Macroeconomics, AP Microeconomics, AP Calculus BC, AP English Literature, AP American Government, AP Comparative Government, Advanced Chemistry Lab, and some random electives
Major Awards (USAMO, Intel etc.):N/A

Subjective:

Extracurriculars (place leadership in parenthesis): Too long to discuss, but I’m in very good standing at extracurriculars at my school (quite a few leadership positions and also consistency)
Job/Work Experience: Minor internship as a freshman at a branding company, paid job at science museum, paid job at NYC marketing/website development company working primarily in BizDev
Volunteer/Community service: Most of my volunteer positions are done through my National Honor Society (100+ credit hours) and also some volunteering freshman year (40 hours)
Summer Activities: Jobs/internships, overall I haven’t had a non-busy summer for soph/junior year
Recommendations (rating 1-10, details):
Teacher Rec #1: Should be pretty good, junior precalc teacher who I’ve had for a year. Participated the most in my class, he knows my name (doesn’t know other people’s really), and gave me a 97 both terms. Only problem is he writes recs for not-so-great students too, but he’s written me an open rec before than I’ve read and I liked it.
Teacher Rec #2: Should be amazing–this guy is extremely passionate and is known for writing excellent recs. Sophomore year AP World teacher (I know, this is bad) but he gave me a 98 and I got a 5 on the AP. I might have him for AP Gov senior year, so that would fix the whole probem of a sophomore rec.
Counselor Rec: Should be absolutely fantastic–the college admissions director at my school is personally writing my counselor rec (she isn’t doing it for any other of the 850 students in my grade, since normally our guidance ((not college)) counselors do them). I’ve worked with her for the extracurriculars I lead and she says that she will speak to that. In fact, she’s already finish my rec and she said that she’ll update it accordingly senior year.
Additional Rec: I’m going to ask my boss at the NYC marketing company where I help do BizDev (see above). She seems to like me and I think she’d be happy to write one for me speaking more to my business skills outside of school/extracurriculars. She’s also a Wharton MBA alum.

Other

Applying for Financial Aid?: Yes
Intended Major: Business Admin/Managment
State (if domestic applicant): New York
Country (if international applicant):
School Type: Public, extremely academically renowned in NYC
Ethnicity: Asian
Gender: M
Income Bracket: $80,000-$100,000

Strengths: Test scores, extracurriculars, recommendations, APs/course load, finished junior year with a 98.00 average (very hard to obtain in my school, since its unweighted)
Weaknesses: I’m not the best essay writer, but I do have a lot of help and resources and can do well if I apply myself. Also, low transcript average as a result of freshman year and extremely high competition in my school

I hope I don’t come off as cocky but I wanted to give as much info as possible. I love Wharton and I’m 100% that it’s my dream school, which is why I’m applying ED. I hope that you can give me some insight as to whether or not I’m a good match, just so I know if I need to change my mind about choosing Wharton as my early school.

Oops, I just realized I put “SAT II: N/A” and made a separate field for SAT Subject Tests. Disregard that.

@ComputerAge
your stats make you fairly competitive for acceptance at Penn. Your overall scores, ec etc seem very good, the only potential issue is that your SAT I math score is kind of low, i.e quite lower than the Penn median ( 750), and specifically wharton does place high importance on math scores. your 800 in the math subject test will prob make up for it a bit tho (but then again it is known that the math ii curve is pretty generous…). so yeah you will be a competitive applicant but just keep in mind that there are gonna be hundreds of applicants with better SATs, better GPA and better extrecurriculars-- like ppl who created their own company/charity, had more impressive internships, did impressive research, won international/national awards). Also keep in mind that the fact that you are asian and you come from a top ny public school (guessing prob Stuyvesant, bronx or brooklyn tech) means the competition will be beyond fierce. also make sure you focus a lot on your essays, Penn values the essays quite a bit and it is also rumored that it values GPA/ class rank a bit more than scores. do you have any idea where you stand in terms of class rank? are you in the top 10%? if not, your chances of admission could drop quite a bit.

@Penn95 Thank you so much for your response! Yes, I do go to one of those three schools (not going to say which one, but it’s the best of those 3). My school does not rank, so I have no idea where I stand although I would guess I would be in the top decile. I understand what you mean about my SAT I Math Score, but I feel that the combination of 35 on ACT Math, 800 on SAT Math II, and a 97.00 average in Precalc should definitely help me out. Also, I am working hard on the essays, but in your opinion would you say Penn values the supplement or the Common App Essay more? I would think the supplement, but I just wanted to double check.

Anything I can do senior year to give me a bit more of an edge? Also, regarding my competition at school, a lot of the competitive people who are applying to Wharton are applying early to more competitive schools (Stanford, Harvard, Yale, etc.) so they won’t be looked until the RD pool.
