I know wharton is the best undergraduate business program, and sends many of its students into i-banking and consulting. However, would one fair in the sports business world with a degree from wharton? I know of the new, Wharton Sports Business Initiative, but didn’t know how well it, or wharton in general, prepared students for careers in sports business. I have a potential interests in becoming a sports agent, or something along those lines. Would wharton open doors into the sports business world? Does it have good connections? Thanks a lot, any info would be appreciated.

Sports Management is currently the most popular "design a major" at Wharton.

What I've been told (I took Sports Business thru Wharton) is that while there are no academic requirements to being a sports agent, there are hundreds more agents than atheletes.

muppet that's very true, I was reading an interview of a NFL sports agent and although there are several thousand sports agents (pretty easy to pay a fee and get certified), there are only a couple hundred that actually make any money, and even fewer who take home the big $$
