Wharton MBA program

I have chosen to attend UC Berkeley over wharton in hopes of building a solid engineering foundation before earning a business degree. however, rather than be an engineer, i would like to be an entrepreneur/management in engineering. is it possible to attain an MBA at wharton directly after undergrad or is work exp. a requirement. thanks

I'd strongly advise working a few years before going for an MBA.

Work experience is strongly strongly recommended.

I asked my interviewer about that because she went to Wharton for both undergrad and MBA. I said I'm determined to get an education from Wharton at some point in my life and asked her about applying to Wharton MBA right after I finish undergrad, and she said that having work experience made her MBA studies more meaningful. She said that a lot of the discussions at Wharton Grad are based on work experience, with people saying "oh when I was working I saw this" and explaining the things they learn. She said she would strongly recommend working for a few years before going to grad school, because the kids in her classes who had no work experience didn't get much out of the graduate education

Only 2% of Wharton MBAs have below 2 years of work experience. Most of those are exceptions, such as people who've been running businesses while in college. The bottom line: you can't even get in in the first place without substantial work experience.

Well, you can, but it's hard.
