Wharton + Minor

For those of you who are in Wharton, what minors do you think would supplement your resume the best. I wanted to do econ, but I was told this is redundant since you get a B.S.E. from Wharton.

econ or math.

econ is not redundant --how can you possibly calculate interest without understanding of not only current market indicators but also future outlook?

edit: forgot computer science

so its not overkill to go throught the wharton curriculum and also a econ minor??? Will it add to a resume whatsoever?

While an econ minor might expand your interests, it probably won’t help your resume. Minors add very little anyway (unless it shows a skill like CS), so a minor in a subject you are technically majoring in probably won’t add too much. Most jobs will not require you to have a theoretical foundation of economics.

I would say the best minors for resume purposes are CS and math. The best minor to get is one you’re actually interested in getting.
