Just out of curiosity, where did the people that got to choose between either Stanford or Wharton and Yale and Wharton go?

do you think it would be better to apply ed to wharton or ed to cas and then transfer to wharton? idk how difficult it is to transfer from cas to wharton so I cant make a decision myself

^drewsta19 - I am referring you to a post I made earlier last month about the internal transfer

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-pennsylvania/1533767-wharton-vs-cas-internal-transfer.html

If you want to go to Wharton, apply to Wharton. Don’t try and use CAS as a back door, it’s an amazing program in and of itself. (competition for internal transfer is hard anyways, I have a friend that did it, but he had a 4.0)

Buuump

Don’t think a thread as good as this should be dead. Everything written in here just reaffirms my love for Wharton

To add my two cents worth, I think the general consensus is that if you are 100% sure on business then Wharton is the place to be. It will provide you with an unparalleled business education at the undergraduate level which you will be hard-pressed to find anywhere else in the world. If you are unsure about business then HYP is a great place to attend and explore your options

Also just to share an interesting story…

A reporter once asked Lakshmi Mittal, one of the richest men in the world and owner of the largest steel company, what more his son can hope to learn from him once he returns from Wharton

Mittal replied … ‘When my son returns from Wharton, I hope to learn from him’

Wharton, ladies and gents, truly the school of Champions :D

Great thread

Done ! Graduated from Wharton, and off to conquer the real world, I’ll post on here again in ten years to let you all know how that turns out.

Congratulations!

Fantastic thread, by the way. I hope you’ll check back in from time to time BEFORE 10 years have elapsed to offer your insight and wisdom.

Best of luck in the real world! :)

Congrats to the recent Wharton graduates and much luck to the ones who are about to start Wharton now. I am a graduate from a ways back (within the last decade) and I definitely did not appreciate the experience enough from the ages of 18-22. I’m in awe of the network now though.

Happy to take any big picture questions you all may have.
