I know Wharton looks at the whole app and everything but how low can your GPA go until you aren't even considered? 3.75? 3.8?

And in what range should your GPA be? like i hear 3.8+ and others tell me 3.95+
I'm trying to get as close to 4.0 (obviously) but I'm just wondering how many times you can actually screw up and still have a good chance of being accepted.

I saw this thread, and as soon as I saw WHARTON prince…I automatically thought - WHARTON prince of bel-air. EPIC! But then, nope. Just wanted to say, thanks for ruining my moment of ecstasy.

kinda felt that way when I read NSOver formal. I was like “Formal! YES!!!” and then I saw it was a rave party and sat back in my seat, calmly clicking delete on that email.

As for the OP, depends on your connections, rec’s, etc. They’ll take a 2.0 if your dad owns a country or two…

Rather than your gpa, they care more about how well you can handle a rigorous curriculum. If somehow you ended up enrolling for like math 55 at Harvard and pulled a C, I think that would be bonus points :P

Check with your school counselor. GPA doesn’t mean anything to us without a grasp of how hard your courses are at your school, how your school grades/weights.

Compare yourself to other kids from your school who got into wharton (grades, extra-currics, etc.)

yes it’s really important to see where your GPA stacks up against your classes. For example if you take a really hard math course where the average is a B-, and you get an A-, colleges will see that you challenged yourself and did very well, even if it may have pulled down your GPA a little.
