Does anyone know how many recommendations Wharton requires for admission, and if they allow extra letters to be sent along with the minimum ones?

Thank you!

2 teacher recs.
if you send extra it had better be a good one and pertinent to your application.

sending extra recs is a good way to get rejected if you're just trying to pad your application, which most extra recs are.

indeed, do not send a superfluous recommendation; only ask for a supplemental from someone who can illuminate an aspect of your character not already present in your application (as opposed to reinforcing one already there)

the extra rec im thinking of sending is from my mentor from a business internship i did this summer. that would be worth sending...right?

It depends. What were your responsibilities? Any unique achievements that go beyond your everyday duties as an intern? How often did you speak with your mentor? How often did you work with your mentor? Do you think that your mentor will take a good amount of time out of his busy schedule to writing a positive recommendation?

Note: I did send a supplemental recommendation from a club sponsor. I chaired a county-wide conference at my school (very time-consuming; tons of responsibility), and I worked very closely with the sponsor throughout the process.

alrite, thanks.

my mentor seems eager to write the rec, so I assume that she really wants to help me out.

Oh and one more question: should the recommendation be like specifically targeted to certain schools im applying to (wharton, etc.) or just general
