Expecting a 4.0 for the Spring semester.

High School GPA: 2.7

Also he worked for a consulting company and is fluent in Russian, Hebrew and English.

Looking at UVa, Stern and Wharton; any other college suggestions?

If he can keep a 3.8+ for two years worth of work, his chances will increase tremendously, however, his SAT/HS are both very low for the schools listed, let alone the biz program... I think Wharton & NYU might be too far out of reach.

From what I have seen, most admitted transfer students to the undergrad business school at UVA have a gpa of 3.8 +/- .1.

If he really wants to transfer to UVA, he should look carefully plan his courses at using the guides available at virginia.edu.

As a recent transfer student from the Northern Virginia Community College to UVA, I can say that all of the counselors are virtual idiots that provide no substantial information regarding transferring to UVA.

For example, make sure he takes STAT II, not just the first semester, which does not transfer for credit to UVA.

Cornell doesn't care about SAT or high school record provided the transfer applicant applies after 3 semesters of his current college. Tell your friend to look into CALS AEM.

Indiana would be an automatic in i believe, pretty much any high ranked public besides Michigan in the midwest you can get into (that includes penn state and maryland, but penn state wont accept anyone into smeal if they spen over a year at another college) UVA i really dont anything about except it favors in state heavily which you are so lucky you. Cornell has transfer agreements with some places, dont know where, transfer friendly, but i cant help you anymore than that
