Can you please evaluate my chances of being accepted into the University of Penn-Wharton Business School?

i think u have a great shot....

i agree, ur stats are really good. since ure a freshman they still put weight on ur high school record, and we all know exeter is amazing

wow, u went to exeter, and ended up at Michigan w. those stats and ur high school

from what i have gathered, it is not worth to spend the money for exeter/andover, i feel like ppl that don't go to those schools can equally do as well in terms of admission

i have met tons of Exeter / Andover kids at Cornell, it is just nutz

Last year, Exeter sent about 10% of its students to harvard and 10% to yale. It's true that colleges are looking more diversity now. Thirty years ago Exeter sent about half its graduating class to harvard. Anyway, I was rejected from yale last year. Thanks for the replies.

thats true, but theyre not always prepared as well for college and boarding life

And even if I could have gone to Princeton coming out of a different school, and knew I'd go somewhere not so hot after graduating from Andover, I'd still have gone to Andover for Andover's sake. It's really not all about getting into Yale or whatever. Those were the best years of my life, maybe ever.

I agree. Exeter was an unbelievable experience. I would rather be at Michigan with the knowledge and experience I gained from Exeter than at a place like Harvard or Yale completely unprepared.

I'm a wharton transfer from stern. therare a bunch of people that transfer to penn from michigan. I think you have a great shot.

boccoli, are there a bunch of cornell students>

yes there are some cornell kids that transfer here.

Another fun statistic, which certainly made me have no hope when I applied: only about 30 kids are accepted as external transfers into wharton. I think there were about 20 that matriculated. I think usually 200 to 300 apply.

Great shot--you're in. Read "The Running of the Bulls: The cutthroat race from Wharton to Wall Street."

Thanks for the comments. I am certainly not expecting to get accepted, because I know that a lot of factors and statistics that will be analyzed when there are only 30 spots open. I wonder how The Ross School of Business at Michigan stacks up in terms of job placement (finance, I-bank) in New York compared to Wharton. Does anyone know?
