I figured after stalking this website for years I might as well contribute now that my college process is officially over. I actually transferred to Wharton after my freshmen year at a different university and would love to answer any questions anyone has about the transfer process. There is tons of misinformation on here about the transfer process (no it’s not impossible to transfer as so many people claim) so hit me up with any questions.
Respond to my message?
Already done!!!
how many credits did you have transferring after your freshmen year? also, colleges usually have a certain amount of credits you need to apply with, so when you applied, did wharton look at your 1st and 2nd semester credits or did they just look at what credits you had at the time you were applying?
I took 5 classes each semester and received credit for 9 of them here at Penn. Wharton requires that you have I think calculus and intro econ credits as a sophomore transfer and accounting as a junior transfer. Other than that I do not believe that they require you to have a certain number of credits for you to apply. When I applied they only had the grades from my first semester classes but I also had to send in a mid term report from my last semester classes (just don’t be doing awful on that and they won’t care) in like March.
Hi! I hear next Tuesday and I know you have no way of telling if I can get in or not just based on my scores, so I’m wondering if you could just tell
me what you think made you stand out. Also, do you know how many of you were accepted into Wharton as a transfer your year? Do you think everyone is very aggressive there and are you glad you transferred? Thank you in advance.
What were your stats when applying to Wharton?
2250+ SAT w/ 4.0 (HS+College)
