<p>They’re both generally ranked in the top 10 or so in the country, and a choice between them for an Economics major should be based on personal preference and fit for the schools overall (e.g., Columbia’s core vs. Penn’s distributional requirements, Columbia’s 35-acre campus and atmosphere vs. Penn’s 300-acre campus and atmosphere, NYC vs. Philly as a college town, etc.).</p>
