Wharton vs Penn

How does the Wharton application differ from college of arts & sciences. And also, if I wanted to major in something in the College, but minor in business, or double major in business/astrophysics, for example, would I be allowed to do so?

Wharton app is the same as the CAS one.

Is it possible to double major in CAS and Wharton?

Lol that’s the question I wanted an answer to.

No, UPenn does not offer double majors across colleges to my knowledge. You can do a dual degree.

You would have to apply for a dual degree program -https://undergrad-inside.wharton.upenn.edu/dual-degree-wharton/

You can do a dual-degree, but it is difficult. You have to do the core coursework for both Wharton and CAS. I know someone who has done it, but she needed to take summer coursework, some of which she had to do after senior year, so she could not graduate with the rest. I don’t think this is the case for most, but I too have an interest in both astrophysics and business, but I really, really think that would be difficult at Wharton.

I agree with @tchit87 it is hard to do a duel degree because at Penn, you literally are going to receive two separate bachelor’s degrees, not just two majors. What a lot of people do is cross-school minor. I’m a Wharton student, but I am planning on doing a poli sci minor in CAS. You definitely can study both, but it would probably be best to figure out where you want your home base to be: Wharton or CAS, depending on what you’re most interested in. For CAS, Engineering, and Nursing students, there is a minor in Wharton that is pretty popular called “Consumer Psychology,” but even if you didn’t minor in Wharton, you still can take business courses there. Same goes for every other school at Penn.
