Wharton Waitlist Letter of Continued Interest

Hello community,

I’ve got waitlisted at Wharton and I was wondering how I should approach my letter of continued interest. I know the list isn’t a reason for hope, but I’ve heard from countless mentors that a letter of continued interest and constant communication with the admissions can help me out in the instance that they do decide to chose from the waitlist.

I have a draft written out expression Penn as my ride or die, though much more business professional, and my willingness to attend 100% if chosen even without consideration of my financial aid package arriving. I was wondering if it would be worth writing some personal connection/reasoning for attending the school or leaving it out since that’s already in my app.

When sending the letter out, should I just email the general admissions office at: info@admissions.upenn.edu, should I send them a call after a few days, and should I also send an email to my regional officer? If I found my officer on linkedin/facebook, would it be impressionable in a positive or negative way to send him an inmail through linkedin (if I have a few qualifications and recommendations on it that are pretty good)?

Y’all have been really good to me so thanks a lot for any input! To the other applicants on the waitlist, best of luck!

I would recommend sending the letter to your regional officer BY EMAIL. DO NOT contact them on any forms of social media, whether it’s Facebook or Linkedin.

If there are qualifications and recommendations that you want to show them, I would include them in your letter of continued interest as an update to what you have been achieving since applying to the school (do not send them accomplishments that you already included in your application).
Letting them know of your willingness to attend 100% if chosen is very important and very good.

Otherwise, I’m in the same boat as you for waitlists and trying to figure out how to word my Letter of Continued Interest.

Good luck!

Thanks for the help @afrprince99! I was thinking wack in a state of minor panic. I wish you the best as well!
