<p>Hello, I am 17 years old preparing for college and well after my counsellor short listed 26 universities applicable to me I just had my eyes on one from the very first day, NYU. Its the place I wanna be, the people I want to meet. Okay, so now let me give brief you about myself. I have taken the IB Diploma Programme and just had my final exams for year 1 wherein I got a 33/42. ( Business, Hindi, Psych (Hl)) ( Bio, Math, English (SL)) I got 3 6's in Business, Hindi and Bio and in others a 5. I am giving my SAT in june, I am likely to pursue a career in Business i.e. the Sterns School Of Business but I am strongly passionate about Theatres and Acting . Yes, I have won some awards , done play in school and FOR school. But now, the issue is I am quite sure this isn't going to get me admission in Theatre school at NYU and secondly a double major in theatre and Business would be really expensive. Leading from that, would it be okay to get a minor in theatre and still achieve my goal of acting?

<p>Short answer:</p>
<p>If you have the talent, you can succeed as an actor with a minor in theater.
If you don’t, majoring in theater won’t make a bit of difference!!</p>
