<p>Hey guys, I'm an Illinois resident who just applied to Princeton ED, and I have no idea what my chances are. Feel free to disenhearten me!</p>

<p>Okay. Right now:
4.00 (UW) GPA (high school), rank: 1 (along with 14 others)
4.00 (UW) GPA (college--i have taken the equivalence of one semester worth of courses--by the end of this year, I will have taken about 1.5 years of courses, but my 4.00 GPA will probably get ****ed)</p>

800 Math
800 Literature
800 US History
800 Chemistry
800 Biology
800 Writing
800 Math IIc</p>

<p>36/36/32/36, 35 Composite ACT</p>

<p>National Merit Semi-Finalist</p>

<p>Captain of Varsity Academic Bowl, two years</p>

<p>Third place Website Design for National Website Design competition</p>

<p>Okay, now here's where I turn to ****:</p>

<p>My essays aren't anything special. Neither are my recommendations.</p>

<p>I don't really have any other distinguishments. I don't participate in sports, I volunteer very seldomly (mostly political activism), and I go to a crap school with no AP courses and like three courses it classifies as "Honors" (you can tell it's crap just by the amount of people who are valedictorian).</p>

<p>wow....you have the craziest number of 800s i have ever seen. i think u should win some kind of award for taking so many sat 2s lol. ummm, princeton cares a lot more about what you will contribute to its environment. if you have shown through your essays that you have been involved in somethign that you love and such that you may contribute to princeton's growing culture, then you may have a decent chance. your academic achievements are stellar. but thats not all of it. i guess we just have to wait it out and see..</p>

<p>Well, the first two are SAT I tests.</p>

<p>I know, but I chose to count the SAT I as two because it has two breakdowns. Still, those 800s are insane. :-p</p>

<p>I don't especially think I'm that impressive. I mean, apart from my test scores, I really don't have anything particularly "amazing." I know some people who had similar scores and were rejected by schools like Princeton.</p>

<p>i think he/she is real. sloth is just wondering if all she/he has are amazing test scores if they have a shot. </p>

<p>sloth - they tend to compare you to the region in which you live. where are you from? if you are from an area that doesnt have many opportunities then your lack of involvement will be overlooked</p>
