Haha fine. Your GPA and Rank are excellent, and your EC's look good too. Sure, your ACT score is a little low, but it's still fine. I think you have a pretty good chance, but you would do well to retake the ACT.

What about the SAT or SATII's? Will you be taking any of those?

Ah okay, so you'll be submitting the ACT with possibly 3 AP's for the required standardized test req? Anyway, I wouldn't stress too much, just study, take the ACT again, and even if you don't score higher, you'll still have a good shot. Lemmie know if you have any further questions!

If I remember correctly, Middlebury has a pretty flexible standardized testing option. You're allowed to submit three tests of any sort (AP/SATII/IB, I think) and they don't have to be the same type. This is in addition to an SATI or ACT test, if you choose to submit those (of course, Middlebury is "SAT Optional", but if I were you, I would submit your 29, it's a good score). Check out Middlebury admissions website for further information.

Candidates must submit standardized tests in at least three areas of study. The requirement may be met by submitting either the ACT; or the SAT I administered on or after March 12, 2005; or three SAT II exams in different areas of study.

hmm i don't see it on the website either, but last fall my admisssions counselor made it seem like you could.
i think you should email your counselor if you really want to know.
