why do colleges ask about ur families educational history?
<p>You get a boost if they haven't gone to college.</p>
<p>Knowing your family history helps put your accomplishments in context to some degree. Some academic rough spots are more likely to be overlooked when the kid's parents only completed high school vs. a kid who has college profs for parents.</p>
