<li>Obama attended Punahou School, a private college preparatory in HI, started at Occidental College, and then transfered to Columbia</li>
<li>Bush (43) did 2 years of prep school in Houston, finished HS at Phillips Academy, and went from there to Yale</li>
<li>Clinton attended public HS in AK, then went to Georgetown</li>
<li>Reagan went to Dixon public HS in IL, then from Eureka College</li>
<li>Bush (41) went from Andover Academy to the Navy, then undergraduate at Yale</li>
<li>Carter was the first member of his family to compete HS, started college at Georgia Southwestern, and graduated from Georgia Tech</li>
<li>Ford was football team captain at Grand Rapids HS, then went to U.Michigan Ann Arbor</li>
<li>Nixon attended public HS first in Fullerton, then in Whittier, and attended Wittier College</li>
<li>LBJ went to Johnson City public HS, then Southwest Texas State Teachers College (now called Texas State University-San Marcos) where he dropped out for awhile before returning to complete his BA</li>
<li>Kennedy attended grades 9-12 at Choate academy, then started at the London School of Economics but had to drop out due to poor health. After convalescing at home, he continued at Princeton, but only attended for six weeks before being sent home with a possible leukemia disgnosis. He eventually finished an undergraduate degree at Harvard</li>

<p>Most of our (modern-era) Presidents attended elite graduate programs, but Bush (43) was the ONLY ONE to go from prep school directly to the ivy league.</p>

<p>It was the last 4 presidents who have the HYP stamps on them; two of them are decidedly not middle class, and the current one may not fit the traditional definition either. </p>

<p>What is really the source of worry? Foreigners and the poor? Foreigners by law will not be in the “upper echelon of decision making” in this country. And what wrong with the poor rising to the top? Lincoln saved the union.</p>
