What age to you consider to be old?

For me, once you get to 40 I'd say you're too old to be cool, except in rare circumstances, and you'd be considered old.

Then, once you get to 60 you're really old.

Too old for me to be friends with without it being weird = 20
Too old to wear brand name clothes marketed to teenagers = 25
Too old to be cool = something like 35
Actually old = 75
Badass old = 100+

Here is the answer that you will discover to be true once you hit a certain age: 15 years older than you!

I’ll use halcyonheather’s format:

Too old for me to be friends with without it being weird = 20
Too old to wear brand name clothes marketed to teenagers = 21
Too old to be cool = I don’t know, I know a cool 51 year old (probably like 40 though)
Actually old = My parents or 70
Badass old: Oldest person in the world

Heh, I’m friends with a 40-year-old and she’s pretty cool (she looks and acts lot younger though).

Old is a state of mind more than a number. I think of my mom as “old”, but not her sister who’s only 3 years younger.

I think 60 is old.

I think the oldest person I consider a friend is this guy who works for my dad who is 22. Second oldest is my really good friend, age 20, who graduated 2012.

Once you start asking me to repeat myself over and over again, you’re annoyingly old.

Whoa! I am a parent and thought it would be fun to check out this thread. I’m surprised that people in their 20’s and 30’s are considered old! I got an Aero sweatshirt for Christmas, and I guess instead of wearing it, I should be burying it with my Levis 514’s from the Jr’s dept and replacing them both with old lady sweaters and Lee mom jeans? (like from that ebay commercial?
)

^ Wear your Aero with pride! I actually know a guy who’s quite successful in his field and not only does he wear Levi’s (the horror) but Aero henleys! Apparently he used to dress in white t shirts with his jeans until 5 years ago when the fashion police caught up with him (or rather, the department head
).

I agree with the state of mind> biological age. It’s all about how you carry yourself. I think the negative defining characteristic of traditional aging is being more cynical, tired, rigid etc. if one can still be positive and hopeful and also integrate their added life experiences, then they are well off. Not growing up is bad, just as always being cantankerous.

Yeah, my ages I gave were just for the sake of this thread, mind is seriously different than biological age. My grandpa is 76 and still works as a metallurgical engineer and runs 1 miles a few times a week.

Old for me is 60.

80+ = really old.

Like 60, I guess. But yeah, age is always pretty relative… I remember when I thought 16 was old ;)

Once you get to an age where, if you die, people don’t consider it unexpected.

When i tell my 4 and 5 year ild summer campers that im 17 they all say," But your old then…" and ask me if i have kids and if im married!! I think now people only ask you those questions if your like…40something…so 40 is old to me

Old enough to be mature enough to have a family and face life head on as a father? 30.

Too old to consider myself old? 60.

I work with children and today they asked me how old I am. When I told them I’m 17, they said “WHOA! You’re SO old!”

So, apparently 17 is considered old ;D

65+ is what I’d consider to be older, I guess. But 70+ would be what I would consider as “old.”

Too old for me to be friends with without it being weird = 23
Too old to wear brand name clothes marketed to teenagers = 30
Too old to be cool = … there’s an age limit for this?
Actually old = 70
Badass old: 100+

I think old is 60-65.
Greater than 65 is elderly.
