What Am I?? Please Tell Me!!!

My father was born in Greece which makes me 50% Greek.
My mother was born in New Jersey which makes me 50% American, obviously

Do I check "other" and write "Greek American"? Or what??

Let me know. Thanks.

Nationality and ethnicity are two different things and should be considered separately. For example, I know many people who are born in the US with both parents from separate countries. While it's clear that American is their nationality, their ethnicity is another thing.

You need to inquire into upper generations to be sure. There isn't a clear American ethnicity. Ask your parents about where their ancestors came from and you can put that down.

However, if it's just asking for race, just put down "White/Caucasian" or whatever would be most accurate for your case.

Presumably you were born in the US? You call your mom 100% American because she was born here. Unless she is a native American, she also has some foreign culture somewhere in her family tree. Why wouldnt you consider yourself 100 American?

As for ethnicity, you really havent told us, but I am guessing you are white.
