What an MBA gets you

MBA Salaries at Top Business Schools

From Wharton in UPenn, a median starting salary of $145,000

Which means you can graduate at 24, and make THAT much.

It made me smile. =)

P.S- (Wharton has a program in which exceptional students can get their masters at the same time as their bachelors and graduate with both degrees in 4-5 years)

What the...you're saying you can get your bachelors AND your MBA in 4-5 years? How in the world do you enter a top MBA program like that with no prior work experience? I ask because work experience is just as important as GPA and GMAT scores when entering a top MBA program. Seems kinda too good to be true.

BUMP.

are these salary figures inflated?

i mean do MBA grads from the top tier schools really make 150K?

You need to have years of work experience to enter an MBA program..

You can't graduate at 24 with an MBA as you need to have work experience first. Average age of MBA students is 28, and average work experience is 5 years, so down boy.

This ain't law school.

maybe we should all just bow down to wharton...
The Wharton School - Undergraduate Division

Well, actually, you CAN get in, say, Harvard Business School, without prior work experience.. It occurs a lot more often than you think, I guess (promising students getting admitted right after college) ... And you could do internships and stuff during summers to get some experience.

Screw business school. You need work experience and you come out making so-so amounts.

law school is the way to go. Go to a top 14 law school and graduate with a good class rank/gpa and get on law review, $160,000 starting salary at biglaw firms.

Of course, if you go to a crap law school, $45,000 per year starting. But the same with crappy business schools too.

Wharton > Harvard Law School :P
