Ehh..what APs Give the most credit and how much credit do they give?

The AP classes which give you the most are:

Biology
Chemistry
Physics B and C I think
Calc BC
US History
European History
Art History
All Foreign Languages

well, it also depends on what score you get. a 5 in foreign languages could exempt you from any foreign language courses in college. same w/ history. if you take science/math APs, you're going to have to retake it in college if you major in science but it's good prep.

supposedly English Literature is worth 6 credits.... not sure if that's 100% true or not.

No, English Lit is 3 hours credit. The sciences are generally the most, with Biology and Chemistry usually at 8 hours credit (lab + lecture credits)

credit varies from school to school; i'm sure at some schools lit is worth 6 credit hours and 3 elsewhere.

It is only a semester class; at some schools it might be worth 4 hours cuz all their classes are 4 hours instead of 3, but it wouldn't be worth 6. that would be like giving 6 hours for an AB score...it wouldn't make sense

Lit is worth 6 hours at the University of Missouri. They count it as freshman English + a humanities elective. All these things vary a lot between schools.

okay sorry

The sciences and languages give the most. For example, the closest university to me is UMiami and they give 10 for Biology, 8 for Chemistry, 8 for Physics B + 3 more for Physics C, and then 12 for each Language test. This is of course saying you get a 5 on each.

Thanks for the Info everybody..keep it coming !!
And war chant..wow...that college seems to give ALOT of credits.......(Compared to what i ve heard/seeN)
O and is it true that getting a five on the AP bio test would let u skip TWO COurses (101 and 102))?

Most likely because they give you credit for the regular class plus the lab.

Chem is really generous.......you can test out of a full year into organic

Calc BC (and AB) is fairly generous depending on the school

Euro and US Hist are fairly good

foreign language is fairly good

english......nada
