What are ad coms like?

Are they 60 year olds and very conservative?

I was thinking about writing a very off color humored essay thats so dirty Mike Rowe would be ashamed

I really hope the majority have a colorful sense of humor... Has anyone here met adcoms?

They’re very often college students or recent graduates of that college.

Go for it, man! :-)

I’ve always imagined them as them as old people (or men) like in Legally blonde…lol…

I’ve heard that adcoms also can have students review your application and put an input.

I can’t claim that the Johns Hopkins admissions officers are totally representative of all of the admissions officers, but this should give you an idea: [Hopkins Insider Admissions Staff Profiles](http://blogs.hopkins-interactive.com/blog/category/admissions-staff-profiles/)

They’re like normal people, but evil.

^ Yes this haha

I always thought of them as being young — of the admission officers I did meet, many were around their late thirties.

They aren’t even human.

^are they… plants :O?

Most of the ones I have met/talked to are in their 30s or 40s and are fairly legit. They seem entirely unlike the people who answer the phones.
