<p>Yes, this is a well documented syndrome in the medical literature known as cryptic systosis. It’s an adaptive response to receiving a windfall from an adversary. </p>
<p>The symptomatic progression begins with palpable, nagging discomfort. Although the time table is not the same for everyone, malaise invariably gives way to a persistent, albeit ineffable, belief in the inevitability of victory, interspersed with episodic fits of uncontrolled mirth on the way to the bank.</p>

<p>Cuttlefish123- Yes, she will be in the MDB- she’s so excited about that! Our high school is small, only about 120 in her graduating class- and only 80 in the band. Being in a 400 member band will be a shock! At least we won’t have to do the typical high school band parent stuff, so I can get my corn dog smell from eating them at the game, instead of selling them in the concession stand.</p>
<p>Casinoexec- a local radio station in Memphis plays that “I hate Tennessee” clip over and over! I love it.</p>
<p>Malanai- lol! I think he’s in the final stages now.</p>
<p>DH’s brother is an UA grad- he got his master’s and phd in physics there, and when we finally made the decision for D to go, he told my husband that he would finally be able to be the fan of a team that had a chance at a national championship. And, one year we got “Alabama’s best victories over Tennessee” video for Christmas. I think it’s still in the wrapper.</p>
<p>Mckinna: Congratulations to your D being in the MDB. A few of my D’s friends were in it last year. Needless to say they had a fantastic time.</p>

<p>My husband, a dedicated Vol fan, decided that instead of a ‘house divided’ license plate, I should instead invest in a lower back tattoo that says:</p>

<p>DH & I were just on a cruise from San Diego to Vancouver. DH was wearing the Alabama sweatshirt he bought at the campus visit in January. Four other passengers, dressed in LSU fan hats and shirts spent a good deal of time glaring at my DH!</p>
<p>^^^Poor things were probably stumped, trying to figure out how to get over to his side of the deck.</p>
