good essay and recs
i visited and had a very good interview
i have legacy at trinity
i am applying as an art history/music major

Trinity admittance is not as predictable as before. When my D applied last year - she nailed the interview - was told that she needed a B+ average with 1900 on the SATs - she had an A average with good rigor - and over 2000 on the SATs, with good ECs and only got waitlisted. However last year Trinity had record applications which skewed the results from previous years.

Other variables in the admit policy can be what you are planning to major in and your ability to pay.

Can almost guarrentee that your D gets rejected if she does not go ED or is a recruited athlete going ED. Trinity is not nearly as much of a slouch admissions wise at it has been in the past, you need at least a 1950 with a 3.5/3.6 with numerous APs to get weighlisted/admitted.

Good luck and if she seriously wants to go, dont apply for financial aid and go early decision.

Trinity is not that selective anymore. I know alot of people who go there and are not on any sports teams who got in with GPA’s of 3.4 they just have to be able to pay the full cost. Alot of people who in the past when it was a better school now go to Richmond or Bucknell or Holy Cross

yea i know what gpa it takes to get into those schools, that is why im looking at trinity, i personally visit bucknell and trinity and although the academics might be ranked better at bucknell, i prefered the astmosphere at trin, bucknell is in the middle of nowhere

I never thought I would someday do a “chance me” thread but the uncertainty that accompanies this wait is KILLING me. So I copied the format of a decisions thread and would like if someone could Chance me for ED1 at Trinity please.
NB: I am international so my school system is WILDLY different from that of the US, but I tried my best to explain where needed.
The biggest difference is that our “high school” is actually a 7 year program with 3 exam years at the end…where you basically get tested in subject areas you chose by a regional board.

Stats:

SAT IIs: Math 1: 730; Chemistry: 700; Math 2: 660

Rank: Top 1% from a class of about 120 students
Other stats:
