Please be honest with me.

you’ve got some really good EC’s, and your GPA is solid; i would just reccommend trying to improve your SAT score. also, maybe take a few more challenging courses your senior year. syracuse isn’t exactly looking for AP scholars, but only two honors courses looks kind of weak.

Yea, your SAT score is a bit low but a girl in my class ED’d or EA’d to Syracuse w/ similar stats and got in. I don’t know much about the school but from what I do know i’d say you have a solid shot.

Looks good! Try to raise your SAT if you can. I think you have a great chance of getting in though

thanks for the feedback i have been taking lots of SAT classes to improve my score, do u think being african american will help at all?

If you want, you can try taking the ACT. People tend to score higher on it. And it isn’t as annoying as the SAT is.

And, I don’t think being African American will have a great influence on the final decision. Ethnicity is only considered, it isn’t as significant in the decision process as Character/Personal Qualities, Class Rank, EC’s, etc… But who knows. (=

I’d say you have a very good chance of getting into SU. Good luck!

Its hard to chance someone because you never take into account the newer and more competitive applicant pool/year.
