My Son is a great kid, but screwed up his first two years of high school and we moved to a new school where he has done great, turned his academics around.

He did very good on his ACT a 31 (the break down, 35 science, 31 math, 30 reading, 29 English).

He is very involved has worked for four years, in lots of EC stuff and outside service projects, his app was full in all those events including awards he has won.

We also think he wrote three awesome essays, but who really knows if they will like them.

Both myself and his mother went to A&M and he wants to be in the Corps in the Wing, Sq.12.

The Big problem is he is in the bottom 1/2 of his class ( a small private school of 31 kids, and only has a grade point of 2.93. So I read less than 2% of kids admitted are in bottom 1/2 of class

The question is will his good ACT score help offset the GPA at all?

He is taking the ACT next week a second time, we paid for a prep-classroom study course on the ACT and he is scoring about a 33 now on the practice ACT. So there is a chance he could improve on the 31.

We don't want his hopes up, but does he have any chance in the spring review process? What do you think is there any hope for a review admit or the Blinn Team?

His back up school is Ok St. were he was already admitted based on the 31 ACT.

Thanks for any replies
