What are Georgetown students like?

Hi everyone!
For people who go to Georgetown, have you found that the students are friendly? competitive? Do people form close friendships?
Is there a sense of community at the school?
Will someone with a very mild interest in politics at best fit in?
How many people do you know who would consider transferring?

Sorry for all the questions; any information you guys can give me would be excellent and appreciated.

I love my friends that I have made at Georgetown. I can’t wait for the summer to be over so that I can see them again. Kids at Georgetown are competitive, but not the cutthroat kind. The sense of community is awesome at Georgetown, as can be evidence by our turnout & support at the basketball games, the amount of student groups that there are on campus, and by an event called Georgetown Day, which is a gigantic party on the front lawn where people spend their entire day together with friends and classmates. Politics is not a requirement to fit in at all. I have some friends who probably could care less about a bill going through the House, while at the same time, I have friends who probably know the bill number and its sponsors. I would recommend having at least a cursory knowledge of politics, just in case. And I only know of one person from my floor (which had 100 people on it) who transferred, and I am pretty sure that the decision was due to family circumstances.
