<p>I know two posters mentioned Penn State honors college because the OP mentioned Philly. PSU is 3 hours west of Philadelphia.</p>
<p>My Philly picks for her stats would be St. Joe's for a financial and academic safety and U Penn for a reach. Haverford and Villanova for a match.</p>
<p>Haverford is extremely competetive. Its a small school in a great area. Suburban though so she really needs to consider if she wants to actually be IN Phila. or Boston vs. the suburbs. Despite proximity to the city most students remain on the suburban campuses and treks into the city are infrequent for various reasons. For example, Tufts, so close to Boston and a great school...but the T stops running early so kids tend to stay on campus as they do at BC. </p>
<p>Northeastern, BU, Drexel are all urban. Temple is in Phila. but not in a nice area. BU is in a very nice area of Boston as is Emerson near Boston Commons.</p>
