What are good political science schools?

I'd like to get in on some more discussions about schools so it'll seem like I've been hard at work to me dad >_>

I know I'm going to do Political Science. I live in Cleveland. What are the best polysci schools in Ohio?

I got my SAT's today, and I have a 2200 Superscored SAT with lowest being writing at 680. ACT writing scores are not so good. Are there schools that weigh writing moreso than others, or viceversa that I need to be aware of?

I also am looking out of state. I'd be willing to go east coast or ~ Chicago to the west. What are strong schools, reach schools, safeties, etc.?

Top 5%
34 ACT
2190 SAT SS
2140 SAT 1S
800 SAT II
History
Math II
770 SAT II
Chemistry

For out of state, UChicago, Michigan and MIT would all be good choices for political science.

In-state, your best bet may be Ohio State. Political Science may well be Ohio State’s strongest department overall. I’ve seen some national rankings placing their program in or around the top 10.

The information on OSU is especially interesting- I didn’t realize they were so good in that category, and EVERYONE applies to OSU- it’s like a rite of passage. Definitely puts a little boost on OSU

Ohio State would be a terrific bargain for an in-stater set on a political science degree. At the very least, you should give it a close look. The only potential downside I can envisage is size (as in big). The department is very well respected, both nationally and internationally.

Yeah, OSU is gigantic, which is the only turn off for me. The problem is, thats a huge turnoff for me, but for the right price and people, it could work out.
