Good evening, users
I’ve been re-reading my old threads and now I realized, I don’t want to go to medical school anymore it’s not my cup of tea. I was very confused of what I wanted to do in the past but now that’s all sorted. I figured out other ways to make massive passive income.
But
Now it’s officially time for me to settle down and study properly. What would good study tips be for pathobiology since it’s a nursing course that needs to be taken, No open book exam, or having notes by your side, I will miss that method.
Each chapter contains a massive amount of information, how can one person remember all of it?
The best method I can think of is reading an eBook on a specific subject before enrolling in that class, so I can get an idea of what I’m getting myself into, pre prepping myself.
But I am not good at taking notes besides writing the whole paragraph of something that is important.
Thought I’d ask the pros who went through dark ages of long note-taking:slight_smile:
P.S I have spoken to an advisor and already know what my best fit is wanted to clear that up before users go into circles of questions.
Cheers,
Nap
Are you majoring in nursing?
I would suggest you go to the tutoring or study center at your college. Ask for a tutor in this difficult course.
The best suggestions I can give you:
-
Attend every single class. Don’t miss any.
-
If the professor has study groups, attend those.
-
If you are confused about anything, go to professor office hours and get clarification.
-
GET A TUTOR.
-
Do not get even one day behind on reading, projects, homework, papers, etc.

In addition to Thumper’s advice, which is spot on, if your school records lectures, go back and re-watch them. If the lectures are posted prior to lecture, even better to watch them before class.
Re-write and re-organize the notes you take in class.
Make flash cards and drill yourself for the information that needs memorization.
Join a study group with other students.
But for sure avail yourself of all the help available at your school - study sessions, office hours, tutors!
I’ll go with the study group and make sure everyone eats healthy fruit. But thanks for the tip I’m more focused when I have a pack of study groups, helps me a lot.
I always always finishing my homework and assignments ahead of time in community college.
Sounds like you might not stay a part of that group for very long.
If you want to benefit from a study group, stick with the mission of the group (which is to study and help each other academically). Trying to push your dietary values onto others is both unnecessary and counter-productive.
