What Are Ib Tests!

What are IB tests? Whats the format and when can i take them?

1) You'd probably need to be taking IB classes to take them...

2) Registration already passed for my school, but if you wanna pay an extra $200 for late registration...

3) IB exams are offered in May and November; each class has an exam, consisting of 2 or 3 parts that may be spread out in May (my school only offers the May exams)

4) format? depends on the individual exam

5) usually seniors take the IB exams, so scores won't be able to be sent to colleges during application season unless you took an exam early

You can only take them if your school is a member of the IBO and you're in that specific class. it's not like AP where you can self study and register. The IBO doesn't allow that. Juniors can take SL exams, you have to be a senior to take HL. Usually there isn't any multiple choice, it's fill in the blank, essay, or paragraph answer. However the foreign language paper 1 has some matching type things, and physics has multiple choice on the paper 1 too. There's a paper 1, which is kind of like short, unrelated questions or document based questions, and a paper 2, which is like an essay on one question or a case study with lots of related questions. Some exams (like HL math) have a paper 3 and that's sort of like a paper 2, the teacher picks an "option" and it's on that. It's kind of hard to explain it all because the exams all have a different format, although generally you won't see very limited multiple choice and the great majority of the exams don't have it at all.
