so what dyu think my chances are for getting into harvard , yale ,mit , princeton , upenn , berkely and stanford for economics ? which other colleges do you think will accept me ?

thanks guys :)

im also chief junior editor of a local newspaper , chief editor of my school newspaper and editor of the school chronicle

You're set big guy. Go party.

If you're going for Economics, UChicago trumps all of the schools you mentioned :P

harvard , Crapshoot, as good a shot as everyone else in the world that is not famous (5% at best, aka DONT COUNT ON IT)
yale , Decent shot , better than Harvard, Probably 7 or 8%, your scores are good and yale likes high SAT's
mit , Probably about the same as Yale
princeton , Eh, about the same as Harvard, Don't count on it...
upenn , Decent chance, same as MIT/Yale
berkely - Why?
and stanford - probably a little less than MIT/Yale

Goto UofC, better than all those schools and easier to get into (I beleive 20-25% acceptance, maybe 15%)

So here are my guesses-
Harvard- Waitlist/Reject
Yale- Accepted/Waitlist
MIT- Waitlist/Accepted
Princeton- Waitlist/Reject
UPENN- Accepted/Waitlist
Berkeley - Why? Accepted
Stanford- Waitlist/Semi-Maybe Accepted
UofC- 75% acceptance probably

good luck my friend....

first try to spell volunteer and application properly before trying to get into Harvard...

Actually, an unhooked individual applicant could have a chance that is significantly lower than 9%, since the 9% overall includes recruited athletes, development cases, legacies, and URMs.

Hmm..are you an international, by the way?

Your cricket, prefect and wording of your EC's threw me off.

But overall, if you are an US citizen, I would say that while your academic profile is good enough, you need to show more depth and clarity with your EC's- how do they relate to your intended major? How do they indicate your passion?

apply to northwestern as well bro, and your not looking to bad either...

thanks guys and yah scared4college im an international living in india

where at gujrat?
