Hey everyone, I am an international student who is in an American international school and I am a junior right now. I want to learn Electrical engineering or Computer engineering (cannot decide which one yet).
I came to an international school from last year (10th grade) and I'm not a native speaker, so my English is still not perfect yet. However, I am extremely good at all Math and Science subjects. I'm also taking IB Program right now, my courses are: HL Math, HL Physics, HL Chemistry, SL German, SL English and SL Economics. My unweighted GPA is around 3.6 this year, with As in Math and Chem and A- in Physics. (IB HL Physics is really hard!) However, during the Sophomore year, which was also the first year I learnt in an international school, my GPA was only 2.79 because of my language. My English has improved a lot during last year, but my reading skill is still very weak. I just took my first SAT in October and total score is 1780 (800 in M, 430 in CR and 550 in W).
I can go to British universities with IB diploma, but I also want to try American universities.
So, which American colleges do you guys think is good for me to try? How about UT Austin? I heard CE and EE are pretty good there.
