I went to a Community college and got a 3.5 and applied and got into UVA after one semester. I finished up at the CC and ended with a 3.0 there, but then I went to UVA th next fall and quickly realized that the country enviroment and lack of diversity wasnt what I wanted in a school. I also wasnt ready to leave home both mentally and emotionally. I was home sick etc. and didnt do well early in my first semester and ended up with a 1.98 from Uva after I left. I was put on academic suspension and I decided that i didnt want to go there again. so now I am back at the CC and doing well. I have a better attitude towards school and got a 3.75 last semester which brings my total GPA here at the CC to 3.31. So do you think I will be able to get into VCU? I didnt get into VCU last yr because of the suspension so now I want to apply. What are my chances?

any input?

If I had to bet, I'd say that you will get in...

however, I'm not sure how your uni grades will factor into the decision---

its obvious based on your explanation that the fluctuation in your grades was not due to a more difficult curriculum---but the admissions might interpret it that way---it might bring up questions about how well you can handle a "university" curriculum...but you can't really control that...so

JUST APPLY

you may be pleasantly surprised by the decision!

thanks!! any other opinions?
