What are my chances? And what else?

I apologize beforehand if this seems bitter. I wrote out a huge, long thread and, when I went to post, it had logged me out and I had to log back in. (Very inconvenient College Confidential.)

But anyways.

I've had dreams of going to MIT or a similar school since my uncle came back with beaver stuffed animals and stories of pie parties on campus. After doing some additional research, MIT does sound like a good school for me. I'm highly interested in Aerospace/Aeronautics and Computer Engineering and one day I want to design things that will traverse our solar system.

Some background info:
I'm a white, 16 year old female, in a good financial situation and who lives in Colorado.

My Freshmen year was as follows (first semester / second semester) :
- Biology - A / B+
- Earth Systems Sciences - B+ / B+
- Algebra 2 - A / B+
- Band - B+ / --
- Game Design - -- / A+
- World History - A / A
- English 9 - A / A
- Spanish 3 - A / A

My Sophomore year was as follows:
- Chemistry - B+ / A
- Physics - B / A
- Pre-Calc - B / B+
- World Geography - A / A
- English 10 - A / A
- Creative Writing - -- / A+
- College Credit Spanish 4 - B / B+

My Junior year (this year) is as follows:
- AP Calc AB / BC - B+
- AP Spanish 5 - C+ (my first ever C... 79.7)
- AP Language - A
- Finance - A
- TA - A

This year looks small but I'm double blocking AP Calc, so I had it every day, rather than every other day. I wanted to take AP Physics B / C but it didn't fit into my schedule. It was either Physics or Spanish, and I figured that it would be more difficult to take a year off of Spanish than Physics. Obviously, after getting a C, I regret that decision.

Next semester, I am taking the same except for:
- Economics
- AP Calc BC instead of AB
and
- Zoology instead of Finance
- PaCE (basically I get credit for work, not a grade)

I plan to take the following courses my senior year: (schedule permitting)
AP Calc 3
AP Physics B / C
AP Statistics
AP Computer Science
Creative Writing 2
Classical Humanities
AP US Government
- PaCE 2

Right now, my GPA sits at around a 3.65 un-weighted and 3.7 weighted.

Test Scores:
ACT: 34
- 34 - Grammar
- 30 - Math
- 35 - Reading
- 36 - Science
PSAT: 213
AP Calc AB - 5

I don't plan on taking the SAT. I may take the ACT again in the spring to try for that 35, as my math score was low. I have trouble remembering everything I learned several years ago. I figure that reviewing a few weeks before hand will help me bump it up.

EC's / Other:

I am a member of Mu Alpha Theta. I tutor younger students once and a while, usually in math, but also Spanish (which I find somewhat amusing, considering I got a C in Spanish this year). Sometimes I help out my friend with StuCo stuff, but I'm not in StuCo myself (nor am I interested in it).

I play competitive travel softball and have since I was eight. I am a left-fielder and third base who power bats in 3rd or 4th slot with a .350 BA-R and a .450 SA-R. I plan to play ball in college. I also play rec basketball and football for fun with friends.

I have volunteered at the local animal shelter since I was old enough. I take videos and pictures of the animals, edit them, and upload them to the website to help those animals get adopted. I'm love all things animal and volunteering at the shelter is one of my most relaxing times of the week.

I play the guitar and the piano. I took piano lessons for about 4 years and taught myself the guitar in about half that time. I play for fun, mostly when I'm alone. If I could sing, I would, but I can't.

I've written two novels, one of which I believe is very good and I am working to get published as soon as possible. I consider myself a pretty good writer, and really enjoy it.

I am a 2013 Colorado Affiliate Winner of the National Women Center for Information and Technology's Award for Aspirations in Computing. I recently found out that this year (2014) I am a 2014 National Runner-up and a 2014 State Winner. I code websites in my free time. One of my websites, a PBBG, has thousands of daily users. I've coded websites for my school and friends, and I love to program, edit and do all things technology related whenever possible.

I work at the local movie theater. Usually, I have 3-5 eight-hour shifts a week. Most of the money goes towards my college savings.

Fun Facts:
- I can solve a Rubik's cube in about a minute
- I memorized Pi to the 500th digit
- I can surf and snowboard
- I like to paintball
- I have a black dog named Cocoa (I was six)
- I eat strawberries like I breathe air.
and
- I'm a nerd. But a fun nerd.

Of course, MIT is not the only top-tier college I've been looking into. I'm also interested in Notre Dame, Rensselaer, Purdue, Embry-Riddle, and Stanford. I considered the Air Force Academy as I live very close to it but I'm not really sure I'm cut out for the military.

Obviously, it's very difficult to get into MIT regardless of what kind of credentials you have, but based on what I've given above, what do you think my chances are? What can I do to improve them (within reason) and which school would you suggest?

Thanks so much for reading all of this! I appreciate it.

No need to retake a 34 on the ACT…

Stanford: Reach
MIT: Reach
RPI: Low match
Purdue: Low match
Embry-Riddle: Safety
