The reason my GPA is so low is because i transferred schools this year, sophomore year I had a 3.9 weighted GPA. I asked my guidance counselor why my GPA was so low and she said it was because they were not going to count the honors classes I took in my previous school (weird right?) . I wanted to apply to NYU’s school for Nursing but at the moment it seems impossible. I didn’t do girls tennis this year because by the time I transferred the season was midway done.
Use the app NICHE it has all the information, and if you sign up put your gpa and stats , it will put you in a scale in the percentage is your chance to get in. Stats aren’t everything so put allot of effort into your essay.
I’m also applying to NYU with a 3.8 and 1300 , I believe I have 0% chance of getting in + its extra expensive like 80 K a year + they don’t give out scholarships. I’m just applying because it’s my dream school and I will question my self forever if don’t apply.
But most of the schools that I will apply are 80% acceptance rate. Im looking for a college experience and great education, but I also don’t want to be a stressed environment.
I’m applying to
. Colorado boulder university 80%
. Indiana University 80%
. Arizona State University 80%
. West Virginia university 80%
. University Of Wisconsin Madison 50% reach
And others
I really hope you get in!! Hearing you worry about your stats makes me nervous since they sound like my ideal scores! But after doing some research NYU seems way too overpriced for their programs, I guess they just overprice their programs since they’re located in the city. I really hope you get into a great school.
It will be hard for anyone to help you without basic information like:
- Price limit and financial aid situation.
- State of residency.
- Unweighted high school GPA and what types of high school courses you chose (weighted GPA is meaningless to those outside your high school).
