Apply ED just to be safe

To PK: No, and I dont think I will get to. I will try my best, however.

haha great. an opportunity to bump

You have an excellent chance at Penn CAS. Excellent scores, solid EC's - go for it!

thanks. bump?

no chance in hell, no offense

aw man. that sucks.

lawl @ neobez

Your application is picture perfect...I'm jealous. Props on your accomplishments! I'd say in at UPenn ED, not sure bout RD. From what I've seen though, high SATs are not as important to them as your GPA and ECs, so you really have to stress your passion for science/math/volunteering in your app/essay. Just try not to seem like the 'typical Asian kid' (something I can relate to!) and you should be fine. Good luck!

chanceme:

Neobez was kidding, I think; if he wasn't kidding, he's wrong. Either way, you look like a solid applicant and you shouldn't worry.

haha yes i got that, don't worry.

but serious replies are always welcome

ah, ok. I guess sarcasm doesn't come through in text. :p

haha yeah. anyways thanks for the bump

I wouldn't do ED unless you are really really sure that Penn is what you want above all other schools. With your scores you have fairly good chances at HYPMS (collectively you're very likely to get into at lease one of them if not more), so why "settle" for Penn unless it is really and truly your top pick.

Percy Skivins, it sounds like you think UPenn is not a very good school.

Anyway, you look good on paper. Now, make sure your essays are good.

And, here's one thing I don't underswt

Percy Skivins, it sounds like you think UPenn is not a very good school.

And, here's one thing I don't understand: what countries does Asian include? Someone said that Bengali in another thread is a URM. Is it only for orientals?

If Penn is your top choice, do ED. You cannot get rejected with that resume. RD - chances drop a bit.

haha i definately wouldn't be "settling" for Penn. Penn's definately one of my top choices!

Please - only do ED to your absolutely TOP choice school. If Penn is your top choices, do it.
