What are my chances as an American to get into these UK schools? Any suggestions?

This is for graduate studies. I want to get my masters first, then my doctoral degree.

I am looking into St. Andrews University in Scotland, Freie Universit

with those stats you will get into St. Andrews…now for the bad news…There is no aid (or very little) for US students. You pay full tuition so the Scots and EU kids can go for a reduced to non-existent tuition.

However, the tuition at STA for US students is still lower than many US private schools.

after checking, it looks like you’ll need to score a little higher on the SAT or take the ACT and score above 28. They put a lot of emphasis on the # of AP classes you take.

marooon79, I am trying to get into St. Andrews as a graduate school, not as an undergraduate. I am currently an undergraduate student in college. Is the SAT still relevant? The requirement to get into their graduate school is a GPA of 3.6. I am working very hard to bring my GPA up to at least a 3.65 before I graduate.

This is all that I could find from their interactive website as a requirement for my state:

"Postgraduate entry requirements
BA or BS with a GPA of 3.6 or above.

The degree of MD (Medicine) requires a medical qualification that is recognised by the UK General Medical Council."
