What are my chances at an accelerated medical program?

Do you guys have a list of all the schools you applied to?

Look on the Results page for this year, might be Stickied.

I’m currently in one of the programs that you listed. I had applied to five bs/md programs but only received one interview and acceptance (both at the same program). i didnt have any clinical experience (no shadowing, no hospital volunteering) save for a medically pertinent fundraiser I had conducted. my sat was just above 2100 and act was around the same; i was ranked in the top 2% of my class. i also had high subject test scores in bio and math2. i think you’ll be fine in terms of scoring an interview if you write the essays well. you have to stand out, since there are probably many people with 2300+ scores and perfect gpas. you will also have to interview very, very well since only around a fraction of those interviewed are accepted. also, keep in mind that being accepted doesnt mean you’ll be a shoo-in to the med school; you have to pass every requirement that the program has. the gpa requirement can be tough since the undergrad institution often requires you to take additional classes that premeds wouldnt usually take. to put things in perspective, in the program im in, more than a third of the entering class has already been dismissed.

I would have thought you were referring to Pitt with all the dismissals but she didn’t mention that. Baylor/Baylor or one of the AMCs? Either way, I didn’t think it would be that bad with those schools.

I mean I’m a senior right now and I’m really serious about getting early acceptance to med school. I am applying to 25 and tbh the only difficulty about it is trying to tell people that you can’t recite all the school when they ask where you’re applying…

And @indiandespogirl- I’m literally in the same situation as you with my parents. Kind of sucks yeah haha. But I’m pretty set on getting an early acceptance program like you, so it doesn’t nag at my brain too much :)
