What are my chances at barnard?

I visited Barnard last week and it is by far my top school!
I am currently a junior at a competitive high school in New York state. We send many graduates to top colleges. My school does not rank and my GPA after this year will be in the 3.5-3.6 range. My grade average i know is a little low for the schools published one. Do to a learning disability (disgraphia+dyslexia) my freshmen and sophomore years were not great performances but i still took an all honors course load and an the only AP Course offered to sophomores. My grades so far during junior year have been As and A-s except for a B+ in Spanish( a weakness due to my Learning disability)

You are aware that Barnard is basically the girls only school part of Columbia?

As such, you will need about a 2250+ SAT score and you should have about a 3.75 to 3.85 GPA to have a realistic shot. However, with all your AP classes, your great ECs, and your learning disability and the fact that this is your #1 school, they might give you a chance is your really ace the essay.

Personally, I only give you about a 40% chance of acceptance, but I say give it all you've got, and like I mentioned, they do make exceptions when the passions shines through.

Good luck.

Actually, I checked the stats, and the average SATs for Barnard are only around 2120, not 2250--my mistake.

Average GPA (UW) was around 3.75, though, so I least I got that right. Given this mistake on my part, you odds are probably closer to 55%, not 40%. Please excuse my error above--I was trying to do this from memory, rather than looking up the stats first.

No problem, thank you so much anyway for replying
