What are my chances at BROWN? I'm dying to get in....

Ok, so I swore I'd never do this but I'm in a panic here...so, I'm a senior and here are my stats:

ACT: 33

SAT: 2290
Math: 690
Critical Reading: 800
Writing: 800

SAT II's
US History: 800
Literature: 780
Math I: 720

AP's
US History: 5
Euro: 5
Spanish: 4
I'm taking AP Gov, Calc AB and Lit this year (Sr)

IB Classes (I haven't taken any tests yet b/c all my courses are two year)
IB Bio, Lit and Comp, History

Ranked: 9 out of 567
GPA: Weighted: 4.25 ( i don't know it unweighted! sorry!)
I do have a study hall this year, but it's my first year having one!

EC's
I love kids so:
6th grade camp counselor this year,
volunteered at a nonprofit daycare downtown last summer 3 times a week(the daycare closed so i couldn't do it this year),
Vacation Bible School volunteer for 3 years, this year I was a teacher, the youngest one!
Freshman Mentor (Jr, Sr)
Peer Collaborator (Jr, Sr) Lots of random odd jobs for volunteer work here.

Then I love publishing/writing:
Bare literary arts magazine staff (f,s, jr, sr) Editor this year
Newspaper Manager
I've had two things published in the arts magazine, and i also work on our city arts council sometimes

Music:
Voice lessons for 4 years, assorted OMEA ratings
musical for 3 years (just chorus though)
choir all 3 years except this year because
I'm going abroad to Scotland!!! for a school program

i work summers, with my course load i can'tr fit work in during the year, but i've worked at the pool for 2 summers, 10-20 hrs a week

and then i'm NHS and cum laude, and i've tutored and babysat

so seriously, do i have a remote chance?

bump....please help me

If you're good looking. Brown is supposed to be the best looking ivy. I believe they request a picture for the application.

Seriously though, great ranking/scores and strong ECs so you'll prob get in but a school like that is a reach for most applicants anyway.

haha thanks for you input. Is Brown really supposed to be the best looking Ivy? I always thought they asked you to include a picture just to put a face to your name, not to see if you were hot. But I've heard Georgetown asks for a picture just to check....lol
and I guess I'm fairly good looking...more in an old fashioned way then a blond tan modern way.

Anyone else have an opinion on my stats?

Hmm, well

Brown asks for a pic incase you visited campus and the like.

YOUR SATS ARE PHENOMENAL.

class rank = amazing.

any national awards? president of anything? <-- this is usually what brown looks for. talent/ability (acc to princeton review)

oh and make sure u get good recs & writ eagood essay its all that matters.

Good shot.

Very Good Shot to Brown, go concentrate on why you love publishing and writing on your essays. That is a very good hook you have.

Oh yeah, if you improve those Math test scores, you should definitely get into Brown.

Yea I wish my math scores were better.....my 720 SAT II is like, an amazing feat though. I am so bad at math it is ridiculous. If i'm applying ED though, do i have time to take the SATS again? cause its already like the very end of august.

About the award thing, I'm like, probably for sure going to be a national-merit semi-finalist, my psat was 229, but there really aren't many awards given out at my school. My magazine (that i'm an editor of) is the 10th best in the nation though, so there's something.

And president...no..:-(
we only have like 2 options for prez positions at my school: student council and class president. Clubs don't have presidents.
I am a manager and an editor though? maybe that counts for something

anyways thanks guys!

Chances at Brown are easy to estimate, since they have the amazing break-down here:
