Thanks!

Your GPA and SAT math for Cal Poly and UCSB are really good (I’m not familiar outside of CA so I don’t feel comfortable talking about UM). Your English scores, especially CR, are slightly below average, although still above 25%. If you could retake it and hit ~650, I’d be really, really surprised if you were denied.

You can see the data here:
<a href=“Cal Poly San Luis Obispo: Acceptance Rate, SAT/ACT Scores, GPA”>http://collegeapps.about.com/od/collegeprofiles/p/Cal_Poly_SLO.htm
<a href=“UCSB: Acceptance Rate, SAT/ACT Scores, GPA”>http://collegeapps.about.com/od/collegeprofiles/p/UCSB.htm

25/75 for SAT reading/math/writing:
Cal Poly: 550/650, 590/690, not available
UCSB: 530/650, 560/690, 550/660

You’re way above 75 for math and comfortably above 25 for CR/writing, so even as it is I’d say accepted for both.

Good luck!

UCSB: High Match
SLO: Low Reach (Average SAT (M+CR) is 1406. Any chance for retake?
UMD: IDK

Thanks! I’m taking the SAT this Saturday to try to improve my CR. Do you know if I will be able to give that to Cal Poly? I was thinking not because I applied early decision. Thanks for the input!
