What are my chances at Case Western Reserve!?

If I am not mistaken, CWR's Single Door policy allows me to just apply to its whole university and then if I am admitted I can choose which specific school (Engineering) and major afterward? My aim is to get into the Bioengineering or Biomedical Program.

I really do appreciate any comments and opinions you give! Thank you for spending time helping me out!

Can anyone at least tell me if I’m right on what I think about Single Door Policy is?

I think that you are correct. Here’s the verbiage from Case’s website:

“Case offers a single-door admission policy: you apply to the entire university, not to a specific department. This provides you with an important advantage, because you don’t have to choose a major when you apply. In fact, once you’re admitted, you can change your major at anytime without applying to a different department!”

P.S. I think your chances for admission are very good.

Based on Collegeboard, Case’s average SAT scores are

SAT Critical Reading: 590 - 700
SAT Math: 650 - 740
SAT Writing: 590 - 690

These scores don’t seem too tough and If I were admitted I could move to the School of Law or Medicine or any other school of my choosing? Seems too good to be true.

I think that the single-door admission policy applies to undergraduate studies only. The Schools of Law and Medicine are graduate schools, so the policy would not apply to them. But you could pretty easily transfer between undergraduate majors in, for example, the School of Engineering and the School of Management. This is not always an easy thing to do at a lot of universities.

I’d say your chances of getting accepted to Case are pretty good. Good luck! I will applying as well :)
