What are my chances at Claremont McKenna or Pomona?

I attended University of Washington for one quarter and got a 3.73 GPA
I have a 4.0 from community college
I took a history class this summer at UC Berkeley and got an A
I am concurrently enrolled at both UC Berkeley and Berkeley City College
High School Unweighted GPA 3.5
Weighted 4.1
SAT 1800

I am president of a club at Berkeley City College
I had an internship spring of last year at a cellphone company

I had strong essays

Please let me know your thoughts! Any advice is welcome.

Thanks

your stats look pretty strong. seems like you might want a few more ECs to put down.
do you have any good reccs?
I interviewed at pomona last year and they strongly emphasized that thier incoming students have strong passions and clearly defined goals…you may want to mention those in your essay

i would also highly suggest interviewing.

i am applying to claremont mckenna too  as a transfer. i wish you the best of luck

It seems like you’ve had a lot of experience with UC Berkeley, and that you’re a local (might be the wrong impression). If that’s the case, then you would be the kind of person UC Berkeley really likes. I’m not questioning your decision, but you’d have a really good shot at UC Berkeley, and it is a great school. If you’re a California state resident, it would also be a lot cheaper than the Claremont Colleges. Why not apply to go there full time?

I’m applying to CMC and Pitzer. I wish I could interview but I’m in Seattle. =/ Out of curiosity, why did you leave UW?

Why would you want to go to those lame schools? With your stats you could get into much better.

I know you weren’t talking to me but oh well. I have a 3.94 gpa and my top choices are Brown and Pitzer. CMC and Pomona are two of the highest ranked LACs and the two highest West Coast LACs. They’re wonderful schools and have a lot to offer. Sure we could probably get into more prestigeous schools but if a school is a good fit then that’s all that matters, imo.

chance me back http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/881656-chance-me-new-york-university-northwestern-university.html#post1064322441

The school was poorly run, and I had a difficult first semester in terms of adjusting. I also felt that it wasn’t challenging enough, and decided to stay in state to save money. I loved Seattle though, I wish I could have spent more time in the city. I suppose it is ironic that I am applying to two expensive private schools now, but I figured I would keep my options open. Best of luck to you!

I am applying to Berkeley, but I am trying to keep my options open. Berkeley can be overwhelming at times, and the large size of the school is intimidating. I would like to be able to have smaller class sizes, and maybe try something different for a while.

I did have good recommendations.

One was from my physical geography teacher at Berkeley City College
the other was from my German history professor I am taking a class with this semester at U.C. Berkeley… I am hoping that it will help a lot.
