I would be glad happy if you could lend me your experienced thoughts to me, so that I may possibly improve my chances next year and over the summer. Also if you would like any more infomation, please let me know what you need.

man, that SAT score needs to improve...................

other than that, not bad... in-state for UVA?

yeah instate

bump.........

well, i'm an instate applicant and got in UVA pretty easily.....

ur SAT really needs to improve, 1350 would be better. mmmmmm GPA a little low, more leaderships perhaps? be sure to write good essays and have good rec letters.

MORE IMPORTANT:

UVA's Mcintire is very different from CMU Tepper. where do u want to work? what kind of jobs will you be seeking? coz Tepper's business is more mathematics/technologic-based, like quantitive analysis, while UVA's mcIntire is more like Wharton (less mathematics-based). If you want a job on the wall street, UVA would be better for you.(my friend who works on the wall street and earns 110,000 dollars/year as a BC 2003 graduate told me he had lots of UVA workmates, but he rarely met CMU folks on the wall street, most of CMUers do other kinds of business) what are you looking for?

I agree that i need to improve my SAT score, i will work as best as i can to do so. I wish to do something possibly in wall street, but i am more right now open to what business has to offer me. I wish to first, explore the industry to different jobs. My brother attends UVA, and he's told me about their business program. I wish to major in either accounting/finance and maybe minor in international business. The reason is because I can speak mandarin and I think i might apply it to my career. I believe that it might be beneficial because of the growing trade relationships between the US and China. Can you offer me your insight into the industry, or what type of job your friend has? Thank you very much.

he does ibanking.

also, i speak mandarin as well. (lived in Beijing for 15 years)

with your GPA and ECs...i'd say a 1290-1310 will get you in.

my g/f got in with a 1230, but she's also in top 5 of her class with above a 4.0, has 9 APs, and mad ECs....instate too so yeah.

i got in as a first year transfer and found out in the first wave with a 3.61 in highschool, a 1310, a couple of strong ECs, a fairly strong essay, and a 4.0 at VT.
...don't wanna get your hopes up, but i'm pretty confident in your chances of acceptance.
