unless you are local, probably not. They rank applicants by an Eligibility index which combines GPA and SAT - I think you will come up short. You can read about it here:
https://www.cpp.edu/~admissions/undergraduate/freshman/before/requirements-deadlines.shtml
Hopefully you applied elsewhere.
Agree with @NCalRent that CPP is not likely due to your low GPA. Biology is an impacted major so there are more qualified applicants than spots available. CPP does consider your alternate major, so if that major is not impacted, you might have a very slim chance. What other schools did you apply? Did you include any non-impacted campuses on your list? CSU Fresno, Bakersfield, Dominguez Hills, Humboldt are still accepting applications so you might want add some of these to your list.
But I checked the eligibility index, and with my sat, it’s a 3410. And they say the minimum is 2900. And Bio is impacted, but not specifically the one I applied with (zoology).
For CPP, since it is a more selective and impacted campus, you need to be in the 3800 EI range for a solid chance at an acceptance especially an impacted major. Zoology is an option under the Biology major so you apply as a Biology major with an option in Zoology. You are still considered a Biology major.

The minimum EI of 2900 is to apply to any CSU campus, not the minimum to be considered a viable applicant at each campus.
Your GPA and SAT are really low for the applicants who have been applying to the Cal Poly’s. This year’s class appears to be very competitive and since the cost for instate residents is reasonable, there are a lot of qualified applicants. Too many.
You may want to try the non-impacted campuses like: Monterey, Stanislaus, Bakersfield, Humboldt.
Hi, I am also applying for Zoology and am very anxious. My eligibility index is a 3746. Do you think i have a chance?
@abfern Oooh cool! I didn’t know if many other applied under Zoology like me. You eligibility index is much higher than mine, so you definitely have a chance. But it is a little below what Gumbymom commented was the " range for a solid chance at an acceptance." I think you still have a chance. I’m still waiting for a decision btw
@potato16 me too! im having so much anxiety everyday. i know a lot of acceptances for different majors have gone out, but i havent seen anything for zoology so idk how to feel. i dont know if a lot of people would apply for this major.
@Gumbymom have you heard about anyone getting accepted to bio w emphasis on zoology? my eligibility index is 3746, i live about 20-30 min from pomona
You are accepted into Biological Sciences. You do not select your subplan- Zoology until you enroll and start registering for classes specific for your subplan.
I have seen applicants already accepted into Biology and the rest of the decisions should be out by April 1.
I got accepted into Biological Sciences a couple weeks back, so you should be hearing soon as well.
